Introducing Dark Mode

At Octopart, we're always looking for ways to make the experience better for the engineers, purchasers, and designers who rely on us every day. Many of our best improvements start the same way: with feedback from our community.

Today, we're excited to announce that Dark Mode is now available on Octopart.

Whether you're comparing parts late into the evening, working in a dim lab, or simply prefer a darker interface, you can now choose the experience that works best for you.

How to Set

Open the menu, go to Appearance, and choose your Theme:

• ☀️  Light — the classic Octopart, bright and familiar.
• 🌙  Dark — deep contrast for dim rooms and late nights.
• 💻  Match Browser — follows your device automatically, day to night.

Octopart matches your browser by default, and your choice sticks between sessions.

Built Together with Our Community

One of the things we appreciate most about the Octopart community is your willingness to tell us what works, what doesn't, and where we can improve.

Every piece of feedback helps us make better decisions about where to invest our time, and Dark Mode is a direct result of listening to the people who use Octopart every day.

It's one of many enhancements we're making to improve the overall experience and we're just getting started.
