Marketing Specialist

The Octopart Marketing team is looking for a team member who is passionate about content, social media, brand marketing, events, and the strategy that ties them all together. A hands-on contributor, the Marketing Specialist will help shape how we engage with our growing community across our owned channels. The role will also assist with Marketing team operations Octopart and Octomyze channels.


  • Day-to-day management of Octopart and Octomyze Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn
  • Newsletter and blog editing and coordination
  • Assistance with Marketing team operations
  • Assistance with Social operations and engagement reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in marketing and identifying innovative ways to share a brand and content
  • Editing experience
  • An understanding of the Octopart voice and point of view
  • Must be enthusiastic, creative and entrepreneurial and have a go-getter attitude
  • Highly Desirable: engineering experience or a strong knowledge of the engineering/maker/IOT field
  • Desirable: technical writing experience
  • Desirable: Photoshop, InDesign, or illustrator

Sales Operations Coordinator

Octopart works closely with major distributors and manufacturers in the electronic component industry. To better manage these relationships, we need someone with an analytical bent to take the lead in the following account management areas:

  • Customer billing administration and support
  • Customer onboarding and datafeed support
  • Banner & creative program support
  • Production of useful reports for both Octopart (internal) and clients (external)

The Sales Operations Coordinator has a critical role within the sales and business development team at Octopart. The Sales Operations Coordinator will work collaboratively with all members of the team.

  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Some SQL experience
